No rod building today. My computer was so full of junk that I had to spend some time and clean it up.
I came across this photo that I had completely forgotten about. I think it was caught somewhere in Ontario, Canada. I have seen small slamon fry hatching like this but they usually didn't last
.Obiviously this fish was one of the very lucky ones. I figured I would pop it on here and see if other fisherman find it strange!!!!
I ran this image on my blog earlier this year Scott and it transpires that its a photoshop fake mate.
ReplyDeleteToo bad. Like I said I have seen salmon fry hatch like this so I lnew it was possible.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info
It's not photoshopped but it is not a freak of nature fish either. It's two fish.
ReplyDeleteThe larger fish slide down the string until the head of the smaller fish slid under the gill cover until the head was in the mouth of the other.
Schol's right by the looks of it. Too bad these fish never got the chance to grow any bigger. Pike aren't all that good to eat, in my opninion.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the added info. This photo I have is not that good and wanted to zoom in on it when I first got it.
ReplyDeleteArjan ...I have to disagree with you. Pike is actually a damn nice fish. What puts you off is the bones. I teach wilderness cooking and have over 28 different recipes for pike on my blog and all are damn tasty. I must say though that the pike here on the Baltic do taste better than landlocked pike.
